:: Architecture :: Buildings :: Shearer Residence This project presented the challenge of fitting a lot of program into a small area while maintaining an open feel. The final design includes a sunken spiral stair to the guest room below, a powder room that is hidden and enclosed by built-in cabinetry in the dining room and kitchen, and built-in seating in the new kitchen. The Shearer remodel was designed by Peter Brock (http://www.peter-brock.com/), an architect for whom I worked from September 2006 through July 2008.
